Wolfson Centre

The Wolfson Centre for Applied Health Research

A partnership between the Universities of Bradford and Leeds, and Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, is a new facility to improve the health and wellbeing of patients in Bradford and the region. The facility, which opened in July 2019 at Bradford Royal Infirmary, will speed up the translation of research into real benefits by providing a hub where researchers, health professionals, policy makers and communities can share and collaborate, to address three main health challenges: health childhood, healthy ageing and the quality and safety of health care. By combining the expertise of health researchers with clinicians who have daily contact with patients, the Centre will ensure that its findings are put rapidly into practice –resulting in better health and social care for those who need it most.
